Prospectus

Diploma in Techno Legal Cyber Security from Cyberlawcollege.com is a Course meant to provide an in-depth understanding of  Cyber Laws as applicable in India and Critical Technical Security Features required for securing Information Assets. It is a one of a kind course for developing Security specialists with an understanding of law.

This Course consists of two papers, the first of which is common with Diploma in Cyber Laws (DCL).

Who should take this Course?

This course is meant for  IT professionals who would like to specialize in Cyber Security.

Entry Criteria:

The Course  is recommended for graduates in any discipline and particularly professionals with experience in the E-Business or IT discipline.  However considering the demand from the student community, the Course is made available for Under graduate students as well.

Before taking up the course, students are requested to study the Course contents and decide their own requirement and capability for timely completion of the course.

How the Course is Conducted:
-The Course will consist of lessons on various topics relevant to Cyber Laws.

-The Course is normally expected to be completed in 9 months. It is expected that most of the students may take atleast another month or two more to complete the course. We presume that most of the students would be able to complete the course within Twelve months.

-Students will be admitted in batches. Normally a batch will be for a month. Students can take examination falling due after 9 months though it is recommended that a minimum of 12 months is desirable.

-Examination will be conducted at designated physical centers on designated dates. First examination is scheduled tentatively for 7th November 2004 and 14th November 2004. The  Subsequently examinations will be conducted at quarterly intervals.

-25 % marks will be earmarked for Internal assessment, 25% for objective type questions and 50 % for Descriptive questions.

-Grades will be awarded as "Pass" "First Class" or "Distinction" based on cut off marks of 40 %, 60% and 70% respectively.

-The students can opt to appear for "Improvement " by paying additional Examination fee.

-Interaction will be provided  basically through online Chat sessions. But arrangements are being made to conduct contact classes at certain designated centers which the student can opt for at an additional fee. Initially such classes will be available in Chennai and Bangalore and Hyderabad.

-Attendance of a minimum number of online Chat sessions or contact classes will be mandatory and would count for internal assessment.

-Course material will be provided basically through electronic means. Optionally, Course material will be made available in print  at an additional cost.

-On completion of Registration and  Receipt of the payment, the first lesson module would be sent by e-mail. Subsequently the lessons would be sent by e-mail at periodical intervals. 

-Periodical tests would be conducted both with objective type questions and descriptive questions. Students will have to answer  questions a and send them back for evaluation and comments. 

-Copies of the answers and the comments would be available for reference by the student at the special "Study Room" to which he/she would be provided exclusive access. 

-Individual queries would be addressed through e-mail and a private Chat with Naavi. 

-At the end of the Course, Certificates will be issued with "Pass", "First Class" or "Distinction" depending on the marks obtained.

-Students will have the option to keep the award of the Certificate in abeyance for "Improvement" by intimating the College within the time that will be specified.

Course Material:

During the course, lessons will be sent by e-mail which are designed to form into an E-Book at the student's computer. Additionally, a copy of the E-Book "Cyber Laws in India..ITA-2000 and Beyond"  by Naavi would be provided as part of the Course material.

On request hard copies of the Course material would be provided at an additional cost.
